What semi truck lift parts look like
The mechanical bones are the same as any mobile column: a hydraulic cylinder driving a fork carriage inside a tall cabinet, with a control head, a power source, and a sync link to the other columns. What changes at semi capacity is every dimension. Cylinders are larger bore. Forks open wider. Cords carry heavier current. Battery packs, if the columns are cordless, are physically bigger. When someone calls asking for semi truck lift parts, we always confirm the exact column model and the set configuration before quoting anything.
40K to 80K class hardware differences
At 18,000 lb per column and higher, hydraulic pressures typically run 3,000 to 3,500 psi and the internal cylinder bores step up to accommodate that pressure at the required stroke. Seal kits are the highest-volume wear part. Rod wipers, rod seals, and piston seals in these cylinders are larger than what fits a passenger-car mobile column, so cross-shelving from a lighter set does not work. Mobile column power cords and pigtails
Corded semi-truck columns typically pull from a 240V or 480V shop feed and use a heavy 6-gauge or 4-gauge pigtail with a locking connector. These cords take more abuse than any other wear item on the column because they get dragged across the shop floor every day, run over by other columns, and pinched under wheel cradles. Replacement pigtails are one of the most common semi truck lift parts we ship, and OEM cords for Rotary, Challenger, and Forward are all in stock. Aftermarket cords are fine when the gauge and connector rating match the OEM specification.
Wheel cradles for 22.5 and 24.5 inch commercial tires
Semi wheel cradles have to open wide enough for the tallest and widest commercial tires. Standard heavy-truck cradles fit 22.5 and 24.5 inch tires in single configurations; dual-wheel adapters and offset extensions handle drive and trailer positions. Bent cradles from curb strikes or bad approach angles are a common replacement. Control interfaces and sync systems
Modern semi column sets sync wirelessly across all columns and display a single-master control on whichever column the operator is standing at. Older sets and some current heavy-duty designs still use a physical CAN harness that daisy-chains column to column. Both approaches have their own failure modes. Wireless sets fail at the antenna module and the OEM firmware; wired sets fail at the connectors. We source control heads and sync modules OEM every time because the firmware handshake between columns is proprietary and a wrong-firmware board will not commission.
Rotary heavy-duty and PKS spares
Rotary MCH heavy-duty and PKS PK40 are the two families we service most frequently in the semi-truck class. Both carry current OEM parts, and both have a mature aftermarket for the wear items — cylinder seals, cords, cradle rollers, and hydraulic hoses. The consequence of a bad part scales with capacity, and at 80,000 lb gross load the consequence is not trivial. Our default position on semi truck lift parts is OEM on anything with electronics or a structural load path, and aftermarket only on wear items where the aftermarket build has been proven on our own service calls. Ordering the right semi truck lift parts
Send us the brand, model, column-set serial number (not the individual column serial), and a photo of the failure. Semi column sets have gone through several generations of firmware and mechanical revisions inside the same model family, so the serial matters.
