Line One: The Automotive Lift for Home Garage Itself
The lift is always the biggest line item, but not always by as much as customers assume. A quality four-post residential automotive lift for home garage service typically runs in the mid-to-high three thousands new, and a two-post in the same weight class typically lands in the mid three thousands as well. Below that, you’re either looking at a used unit with unknown maintenance history or a value-tier import without full parts support in the United States. What our Sioux City operator did right: he separated the lift-only price from the freight, install, and accessory price so he could compare apples-to-apples across our quote and two competitors. Every one of those turns a one-day install into a two-day install. Our fee schedule is transparent about that, and we quote a contingency line for it so nobody feels ambushed.
