A new lift purchased for a mid-four to low-five figure price runs with minimal maintenance for the first several years and needs its first serious service at some point around year five or six. If the used lift was still standing at the seller’s shop when purchased, disassembly and rigging add to the cost as well. Most used-lift buyers underestimate that piece. A rigger has to break down the columns, cut anchor bolts if they will not release, and load everything on a truck for transport.
