An oil-change bay is a specific animal. The lift cycles constantly — up, down, up, down — and the cylinder seals see more work in a year than a general-repair lift sees in five. That means seal wear is going to arrive early, and the spec has to account for it. We do not spec a bottom-shelf hydraulic lift automotive into an oil-change bay.
