The order we recommend is: concrete cure, electrical rough-in, air lines and drops, exhaust ventilation, lift install, floor sealing after anchor set, then tool and cabinet install. Skip a step or reorder them and you will regret it.
The most common mistake we see is floor sealing before lift install. Sealed concrete is beautiful, but it is not what you want under the base plate. The anchors need a raw concrete surface to bite into, and the base plate needs to bear directly on concrete for the load path. We ask fleet managers to hold off on sealing until the lift is anchored, then seal around the base plates. The second common mistake is electrical rough-in without knowing the exact lift model. If the electrician runs a 30-amp single-phase circuit and the lift wants a 40-amp three-phase circuit, that rough-in is scrap. For pure brake service, versymmetric arm geometry is fine and often preferred because the fleet mechanic can walk the vehicle without ducking arms. Dual-point release is a nice-to-have that speeds up the daily cycle by a handful of seconds per lift, and over a year of fleet volume that adds up. If any item on the annual inspection needs attention — a cable showing wear, a leaking hydraulic seal, a stiff safety lock — we service it during the same visit or schedule a follow-up. The parts are on our shelf, so a same-visit repair on a common issue is normal. What we do not do is walk away from a lift with a documented issue and no follow-up plan.
