Sealed-hub replacement is the volume job on modern vehicles — the whole hub-bearing assembly comes off as a unit, you’re working at wheel height, and either configuration handles it fine. Non-sealed bearing pack service (older RWD, some FWD trailing hubs) requires removing the rotor, unpacking the bearing, cleaning and repacking, and reinstalling with a torque-critical spindle nut. Chest-height access on a two-post is the meaningfully better ergonomic position.
Race pressing is where the two-post pulls decisively ahead. The catch is what counts as covered. Cables and hoses are consumables past year one on both configurations. Sheaves are covered under structural. Pump motors are covered under hydraulic. Anchor bolts and installation hardware are not covered (they’re installer scope).
