Two-post lifts have a permanent obstruction in the middle of the vehicle: the arms. Max lift height on the X14 is 74 inches, which puts the underside of most cars and light trucks at roughly chest-to-shoulder height for a five-foot-nine tech. That’s the correct height for exhaust routing — you want the pipe at working height, not overhead. Trucks with lifted suspensions or extra ride height get you closer to overhead work, but the X14’s variable stopping points (mechanical locks about every two inches through the range) let the tech pick the ergonomic height that matches the vehicle and the job. This is a real advantage over hydraulic-only lifts that only lock at full height.
ALI Gold Certification: Not a Marketing Sticker
