Every builder who calls us has already read the weight ratings and rise heights online. What they haven’t thought through is how the lift actually sits in their specific bay once you account for truck length, lifted suspension height, roof racks, and swing-out doors. Auto lifts for home garage use aren’t one-size-fits-all pieces of equipment — a 4-post storage lift that’s perfect for a sedan garage can be completely wrong for a lifted overland truck with 35-inch tires and a roof-top tent.

In this case, the builder had a 30×40 pole building with 12-foot sidewalls, plenty of height, but a specific stall he wanted to dedicate. We measured his truck’s actual overall height with the roof rack and RTT mounted, not the stock spec sheet number, and worked backward from there. That’s the step people skip.
