Myth: You Need Three-Phase Power for a Home Garage Lift

This is the single biggest misconception we hear from Davenport customers converting a garage into a part-time European specialty shop. Three-phase power exists in a lot of commercial buildings because it’s efficient for large industrial motors running constantly, not because lifts specifically require it. Myth: Every Lift Needs Its Own New Electrical Panel

Another myth we hear constantly: that installing auto lifts for home garage inspection work requires a full panel upgrade before anything else happens. Myth: Bigger Lifts Are Always Better for Inspection Work
