A mobile mechanic who does restoration and metal work across western Illinois called us with a question we hear often: should a Forward 9000 2 post lift be configured overhead or baseplate for a shop doing frame repair and body panel work? If you’ve got the ceiling height to spare, an overhead Forward 9000 2 post lift is often the more durable long-term choice, and it can simplify wiring and hydraulic line routing since everything runs through the top beam instead of underground or through floor channels. The decision really comes down to your building.
