Every decision tree starts with money, and for race teams the honest first question is whether you’re buying two columns, four, or six. A two-column set gets a single car up in the air for basic alignment and suspension work, and it’s the entry point for a smaller team or a shop that only occasionally needs to lift a full chassis. Four-column and six-column sets scale up fast in both capability and cost, but they also let a crew work an entire car — including getting all four corners level and free-hanging at once, which matters enormously for corner-weighting and alignment accuracy.

For teams doing serious alignment work, we generally steer the conversation toward a four-column set at minimum, because two columns alone can’t give you the simultaneous four-corner lift that real alignment and setup work demands. Branch Four: Unloading and Staging Before Install

Once freight arrives, unloading heavy duty mobile column lifts safely is its own step. Columns are top-heavy and awkward to hand-truck, so we recommend forklift or pallet jack unloading directly onto the shop floor near where the system will be used, rather than staging crates somewhere and moving them twice. The final branch is getting the system running correctly from day one. We generally recommend ordering at least six to eight weeks ahead of a season opener to account for freight transit, any building prep like floor work, and the install and calibration appointment itself.
