Every home garage car lift system anchors into concrete, and concrete that’s too thin or too green will never hold those anchors under load. For a 2-post lift handling something under 3 tons, most manufacturers want a minimum of 4 inches of concrete, cured at least 28 days, with a compressive strength around 3,000 PSI. That’s a baseline, not a suggestion — anchor bolts that pull loose because the slab cracked under stress are a liability problem, not just an inconvenience.

Looks don’t tell you about rebar placement, aggregate mix, or whether the pour happened in a hurry. Rebar: Helpful for the Slab, Irrelevant to the Anchors

This one surprises people. Anchors need mass and depth in solid concrete, not steel mesh a couple inches down.
