Installation and Anchoring Realities
A 4 post lift is freestanding — it doesn’t require the deep anchoring a 2 post lift does, which is one reason shops like it for older buildings or thinner slabs. But freestanding doesn’t mean install-anywhere. The lift still needs a level, sound slab, adequate clearance on all sides for the columns, and clear rollup access if you’re driving vehicles on and off in a busy bay layout.
