Fluid Leaks: Where They Actually Come From

Power unit leaks usually show up as fluid pooling directly under the pump housing rather than under the lift itself, and they typically mean a reservoir gasket or shaft seal has given out. What matters is not running the lift with a known leak for weeks, since low fluid eventually causes the harder problems: weak lift, uneven rise, and locks that won’t hold properly under a vehicle’s full weight.
Noise Complaints and What They’re Telling You
