Where the crate gets dropped and where the lift actually gets anchored can be two different spots in the same bay, and that’s fine as long as it’s planned.
Myth: Installation and Delivery Are Always Bundled the Same Way
Every shop assumes delivery and installation happen as one seamless event. Sometimes they do. Other times the crate arrives days or weeks ahead of the install crew, especially if a shop is timing the order around a concrete pour or a slower season. We’ve had customers order well ahead of a spring install date and just needed the equipment staged and secure until we could get out there.

Myth: All Two-Post Lifts Ship and Unload the Same Way
A 9,000 lb symmetric column and an 11,000 lb asymmetric column with an overhead safety stop bar don’t crate up identically, and they don’t unload identically either. Heavier capacity models mean heavier individual pieces, which changes what equipment is actually required at delivery. Shops chasing a specific budget for a 2 post car lift sometimes assume the freight cost and unloading requirements stay flat across capacity tiers. They don’t always.
