Most hobbyist brake jobs involve a daily driver, a light truck, or maybe a project car with wheels off and rotors on the bench. Concrete and Site Readiness for a Home Garage Install

Before we quote install pricing, we ask the same questions every time: how thick is the slab, how old is it, and is there a pit or is this a surface-mount install. A 7000 lb car lift that answers all five well is going to serve a hobbyist doing brake and rotor work for decades.

If a seller can’t answer the cam engagement or arm restraint questions specifically, that’s information in itself. We’d rather walk a customer through those details on the phone before the truck ships than have them find out the hard way with a car half-disassembled on the lift.
