For alignment work specifically, you also need enough straight-line approach distance in front of the bay door for the vehicle to drive on dead straight — angled approaches throw off turn plate readings before you even start. On install day itself, door swing matters again — not just for vehicles, but for getting the lift components themselves through the opening. A wide alignment lift base or long jack beam sometimes needs a different entry point than the vehicle bay door, and we plan that route during the site visit so install day doesn’t turn into a puzzle nobody solved in advance. Getting this right the first time is what separates a smooth autolift garage installation from a delayed one.
