That’s not cosmetic; a lift out of sync stresses the arms and can eventually damage the carriage rollers or column itself.

On automotive two post lifts specifically, sync problems often trace back to a cylinder that’s lost internal integrity, letting fluid bypass the piston and drop that side faster than its partner.
