The price difference between the two is real, but it’s smaller than most owners expect once you factor in installation. For pure oil-change and fluid-service work where your heaviest unit is a half-ton van or pickup, Configuration A gets the job done every time and saves you money you can put toward a rolling jack or drain pans.
