Shops with 12-foot sidewalls often assume they’re fine, but once you stack a raised platform and a full-size SUV, you can run out of room fast. Arm Restraints: The Feature Most Buyers Overlook

Arm restraints are the pins or locking mechanisms that keep the lift’s swing arms from drifting once they’re positioned under a vehicle’s lift points. If the arms aren’t locked and restrained properly, even a small shift can throw off the vehicle’s balance point on the platform.
