A 2 post car lift changes how you own cars. Rotors and pads on both axles took him about an hour, which is fast by DIY standards and normal by shop standards. First: a set of drop-in truck adapters that raise the pad height enough to safely lift a full-frame truck at factory frame points. He runs a mid-2000s Silverado for tow duty and the adapters ended the awkward hunt for a safe lift point. Second: a rolling under-lift tool cart that fits between the columns. Accessories that did not earn their spot: an aftermarket LED strip added to the lift (looked great, wasn’t necessary), and a wall-mount hose reel that ended up too far from the actual work location.
