A mobile mechanic in Waukee called us in the spring. The site survey call

Two things. First, the ceiling was twelve-foot-two, but a fluorescent light fixture hung down eight inches directly over the intended install spot. That would have caught the overhead beam on rise. Not structural, but not something we would want to anchor into. We shifted another eighteen inches to put the columns on solid slab.
Both of those catches happen in person. On a phone survey we would have missed both and had a bad install day. Wheel bearing work drove the configuration

Clear a twenty-by-twenty install area including tools, benches, and vehicles. Move the fluorescent fixture. Verify that the crack in the concrete was purely cosmetic with the landlord’s structural sign-off.
He did every item. That preparation is the single biggest predictor of whether a 2 post car lift install goes clean. When we show up and the bay is ready, we finish install in a long day. We finished with a full safety walkthrough. Motor amperage on start, lift speed, lock engagement at every position, arm restraint function, and emergency lowering procedure. The mechanic ran through each himself with a hand on the controls while we watched. He signed the commissioning paperwork at four. His first customer car went up the following Monday.
