Freight carriers deliver lift crates on flatbeds or in liftgate trailers, but the columns, crossbeam, and hydraulic power unit on a heavier two-post setup are genuinely heavy, often more than a couple people can safely walk off a tailgate. If there’s no forklift or loading dock on site, we need to know that before the truck is scheduled, not after it’s idling in the driveway with a driver on the clock.

Once the crate is off the truck, the next logistics question is what floor it’s landing on. A 2 post car lift needs a slab that meets the manufacturer’s thickness and cure-time specs, and we get this question constantly from shops and fleets who assumed any concrete floor would work. But site readiness goes beyond the slab. Ceiling height, door clearance for getting the crate into the bay, and having the bay cleared out before install day all matter.
