Myth: Any Slab Will Hold a 2 Post Car Lift

We hear this constantly from shop owners doing their own homework online: pour a slab, set the lift, done. It’s not that simple, especially with EVs. A Monroe, Iowa customer building a new pole barn addition asked us the right questions before pouring — 5 inch slab thickness, 4000 psi concrete, rebar, and 2 inch foam underneath for insulation. That’s a solid start, but the anchor engagement depends on more than thickness.
