We always ask what the heaviest vehicle in your rotation weighs fully loaded with fuel, fluids, and any parts still bolted on, then we add a safety margin before recommending a capacity. A 9,000 lb lift covers most daily-driver restorations, but if you’re routinely storing or working on trucks, wagons, or pre-war iron, stepping up to 10,000 or 12,000 lb capacity is the smarter branch on this tree.
