The arm restraints are a separate piece — bars or straps that keep the front wheels from rolling off the front of the runways, especially important on a drive-on 4-post storage lift where there’s no wheel clamp like a 2-post arm-style unit uses. We tell every customer the same thing: check that the cam engages cleanly on both columns before you ever get under the vehicle, and never trust a lift that’s leaning or engaging unevenly side to side. Concrete, Ceiling Height, and Delivery Logistics

Before we quote either configuration, we ask the same questions every time: what’s the ceiling height, how thick is the concrete, is there rebar in the slab, and does the shop have a forklift on site for delivery. A 4-post storage lift with a full-size alignment package needs real ceiling clearance, often 12 to 16 feet depending on the vehicle mix, and most commercial slabs handle it fine, but older shop floors sometimes need a closer look before we commit to a footprint.
