The first configuration we spec for fleet operators is a straightforward drive-through storage setup. The vehicle drives up onto fixed runways, gets raised on the four columns, and sits there — either for storage between routes or for undercarriage work that doesn’t require the wheels to hang free. This is the configuration a lot of shops default to because it’s simpler and there’s less to maintain: no rolling jacks, fewer moving parts, lower long-term wear.

For a fleet running mixed pickups and cargo vans, a 9000 lb 4 post car lift in this configuration works well for inspections, undercarriage rust checks, and any job where you’re working from underneath without needing the wheels off the ground.
