Five to eight thousand puts you into 10K commercial-grade lifts with ALI Gold certification available — Atlas Platinum, Rotary SPO10, or Challenger CL10 territory. Above eight thousand, you’re buying heavy-duty capacity — 12K, 15K, 18K — or specialty features like symmetric-asymmetric convertible arms. When We’d Steer You Away from Atlas

If you need ALI Gold certification for insurance, a state inspection contract, or a dealer service agreement, verify the specific Atlas model is on the ALI directory before you buy. Atlas certifies some models and not others, and the base 9K frequently is not on the list. If certification is a requirement, we usually steer to Rotary SPO10 or Challenger CL10 instead — both are certified across the whole product line and both are supported directly by us for parts and warranty.
The other case where we route away from Atlas is heavy-duty capacity above 15K. Atlas fields a 15K two-post, but the commercial fleet market above that capacity is dominated by Rotary and Challenger for a reason — parts availability, ALI certification, and service network depth.
