An RV and trailer service shop owner in southern Minnesota bought his first home-garage lift from us about fourteen months ago. Month three: the arm restraint that stopped working
About three months in, he called us because one of the arm restraints seemed loose. He could swing the arm slightly under load, which shouldn’t happen. We drove up on a Saturday and found that a piece of gravel had worked its way into the restraint gear – probably tracked in on a boot – and it was preventing full engagement. Ten minutes with a shop vac and a blast of compressed air, and it was back to full function.
