Asymmetric Arms: Built for In-and-Out Access

Asymmetric lifts shift the front arms shorter and swing them out at a wider angle, while the rear arms are longer. If most of your work is suspension, alignment, or anything requiring balanced weight distribution, lean symmetric. If most of your work is fluid service, tire rotations, or general maintenance where you’re getting in and out of the vehicle constantly, lean asymmetric. If you genuinely don’t know yet because you’re just getting your home garage set up, asymmetric is the safer general-purpose default for most DIYers and mobile mechanics we talk to.

There’s no universally correct answer, which is exactly why we walk through actual use cases with every caller instead of pushing one style.
