Myth 1: A Bigger Capacity Lift Is Always Safer

Some two-post lifts have equal-length front and rear arms and cannot pitch the vehicle without hydraulic tricks. A lift with front three-stage arms and rear telescopic arms of different lengths, plus adjustable pads, lets a tech pitch the vehicle two or three degrees front-high without stressing the arms. Myth 4: The Lift Is Independent of the Bay Floor

If the concrete has a hairline crack under a column anchor, the anchor will loosen over time and the lift will develop a wobble at the top of the column.
