On a CV axle or half-shaft job, you drop the suspension on one side to swing the shaft out. That shifts vehicle weight toward the other side of the lift, which loads one cylinder more than the other. The pump feeds both, and a mechanical or hydraulic equalization system keeps the arms rising together and holding load evenly under uneven weight. Cheap lifts don’t equalize well.
