First, we need the serial number and model off the lift itself, not just what the buyer remembers ordering — a two post that was quoted as one model sometimes ships as a slightly different configuration. Second, we need a description of the failure: is it a cable that snapped, a cylinder that’s leaking down overnight, a control valve that won’t hold pressure. Photos help enormously here, especially of any visible weld or casting defect.

From there we submit the claim to the manufacturer with that documentation attached. Before we ever get to warranty talk, we’re asking the same logistics questions on every install: is there a forklift or skid steer on site to offload freight, what’s the ceiling height, is the floor concrete and how thick, and is there in-floor heat that changes how we anchor. The builder’s claim in this case was about as smooth as they get. He noticed cable wear during a routine check, took photos, texted us the model and serial number he’d saved from delivery paperwork, and we had a replacement part ordered within a day. No back and forth about what he’d bought or when, no digging through old invoices.
