This version costs more, typically requires a slightly wider bay footprint, and takes a bit longer to install because of the additional rolling jack rail system.

What you get for the extra investment is flexibility: this configuration handles oil changes just as fast as the fixed-runway version, but it also opens the door to fluid flushes, undercarriage inspections, and light suspension work without needing a second lift down the line. Cable Inspection Basics

Both configurations use lift cables as part of the scissor mechanism’s synchronization system, and those cables are the component we see neglected most often on fleet-owned lifts. A cable under constant load and cycling multiple times a day accumulates wear faster than most owners expect, and fraying, kinking, or uneven tension between the two sides of the scissor mechanism are all signs a cable needs attention before it becomes a failure.

We tell every fleet customer the same thing: a visual cable inspection should happen at minimum every 90 days for a lift cycling 8 or more times daily, checking for broken strands, rust at the cable ends, and consistent tension side to side.
