A base plate that overlaps a drain is a non-starter; we shift the column position or repour if needed. Details like these don’t show up in the catalog but they decide install feasibility.
Cable and cylinder specifications — where the wear parts actually come from
Every commercial two-post lift uses cables for equalization and cylinders for hydraulic actuation. Where cables are manufactured has changed over the last decade. Rotary sources cables from OEM partners with published specifications; replacement cables can be ordered through the Rotary parts network or through aftermarket suppliers who reference the Rotary part number. Challenger operates similarly. Both brands’ cables are cross-compatible with the equivalent aftermarket parts from a handful of specialty cable manufacturers.

The dual-cylinder pattern is smoother in operation and better tolerates load asymmetry because each column has its own actuator. Rotary’s SPO series uses single-cylinder on lower trims and dual on higher trims. Challenger’s E-series varies similarly by trim.
