- Concrete requirement: 4″ minimum depth with steel reinforcement, 3500 psi, cured 28 days; floor level within 3/8″ over the install area; no anchor within 8″ of a crack, edge, or expansion joint
- Anchoring: 3/4″ carbide bit, holes through the floor or 5″ minimum; torque to 150 ft-lbs at install, 80 ft-lbs monthly
Install notes from the manual
Chalk two parallel layout lines at the Overall Width dimension within 1/8″ and set the column base plates to them. The synchronizer cables have two attachment points on the carriage: the lower point is for the standard-height installation (175″) and the upper point for the reduced-height installation (166″). Bleed the cylinders starting on the idler side — crack the bleed plug on top, repeat on the power side, raise 6 inches, and repeat until no air comes out — then pressure-test by running the motor 10 seconds past full rise. After wiring, confirm the overhead limit switch kills the motor when the shutoff bar is raised. Monthly, re-torque anchors to 80 ft-lbs and inspect the concrete within 12″ of the base plates for cracks or spalls.
