Configuration A: Narrow Bay With a Forward-Style Column Layout

The arms sit further forward relative to the columns, which keeps the technician’s tool cart and transmission jack clear of the post when working under the rear third of the vehicle.

Wide bays give us more flexibility on anchor placement too. We’re not fighting a floor drain or an expansion joint the way we sometimes are in cramped older buildings. We coordinate directly with your electrician on conduit routing and breaker size so that by install day the drop is already in the right spot relative to where the power unit will mount.

We’ve also handled requests to relocate the power unit itself, including moving it to the top of the columns with a remote control station down at floor level, which some shops want purely for workflow reasons and others need for legitimate health and safety reasons involving proximity to high-voltage equipment. If your Dubuque shop has a technician who can’t be near a 220V unit for any reason, tell us during the survey phase, because retrofitting that after install is far more expensive than planning it correctly from day one.

Arm Configuration for Exhaust and Driveline Specifically
