Start With the Budget: What Garage Car Storage Lifts Actually Cost to Own

Before we ever talk configuration, we ask restoration shop owners what they’re trying to spend, because that answer eliminates half the decision tree immediately. We also talked through platform width for wider muscle cars and older trucks with wide track widths, since some economy-focused storage lifts are built narrower than a full-size American classic needs. Getting this wrong means a car that technically fits but leaves uncomfortably little clearance on the mirrors or fender edges, which matters even more with irreplaceable restoration project vehicles than with daily drivers.

Making the Final Call: Our Recommendation Framework
