Either way, the lift needs to be rated and configured specifically for alignment use — a general-purpose lift retrofitted without the right adapters will never give you numbers you can trust.

Calibration, Cameras, and Keeping Numbers Accurate Over Time

Buying the lift and turn plates is only half of a home alignment setup — the alignment machine itself needs to be calibrated correctly and re-checked periodically. Camera-based systems drift out of calibration if they get bumped, if lighting conditions change dramatically, or simply over months of normal use. We recommend building a routine calibration check into your shop’s schedule rather than waiting for a customer complaint to tell you something’s off.
