Because mobile columns aren’t anchored, a lot of shops skip straight past planning and treat delivery day as installation day. That’s backwards. A proper mobile column lift installation starts with confirming the floor can handle the point loading under each column’s wheel base, not just the total vehicle weight. Ag and heavy truck shops especially need to check for old cracks, patched sections, or thin slab pours near doors, because a column that rocks even slightly under load throws off the sync and wears the internal lift screw faster than it should.
