Why Restoration Bays Need a Different Layout Than General Repair

A general repair shop turns cars in a day. A restoration shop bay layout has to account for a car sitting on a lift for weeks or months while it’s stripped, media-blasted, welded, and rebuilt panel by panel. That changes everything about spacing. You need wider aisles because a project car surrounded by fender parts, a rolling cart of hardware, and a welder takes up far more floor space than a car in for an oil change.
