The two flagship 10K lifts differ mainly in column geometry. The SPOA10 is asymmetric — the columns rotate slightly and use shorter front arms, so a vehicle sits further back and the driver doors clear the column when they open. The SPO10 is symmetric — the columns sit squarely across from each other, centering the load, which is what heavy-truck techs prefer when lifting dually pickups and work vans. Body shops and general repair shops usually pick asymmetric. Heavy-truck and diesel specialists usually pick symmetric.
A shop in the Cedar Rapids area we worked with recently was torn between the two. They saw a mix of cars and dually pickups, but the dually work was maybe 20% of the schedule.
