The instinct on any lift purchase is to lead with capacity: how much does the heaviest vehicle weigh, and does the lift cover it with margin. That’s a real question, but for oil pan and gasket work the safety conversation is bigger. Compare that to the same job done on jack stands or on a two-post with arms wrapping around the frame. On stands, you’re crawling in and out. On a two-post, the arms sometimes obstruct the exact frame member you need to unbolt.
