Concrete slab thickness is the one thing you cannot fix cheaply

Our first survey question in Waukee is always the same: how old is the slab, and was it poured with rebar or just fiber mesh. Once you place the order, we schedule a quick site survey – usually a phone call and a batch of photos, occasionally a walk-through if you are in the Waukee, Ankeny, or Ames triangle. If you have not epoxied the floor, do not do it in the week before delivery – the anchors need to bite into raw concrete, and an epoxy coating adds a variable we would rather not fight.

Plan on three to five hours from truck arrival to first lift cycle for a mid-rise, and closer to six hours for a full-rise scissor.
