The scenario: driveways, gravel pads, tight garages

What we told him instead is that on a scissor you have a different set of choices — pad type, pad extension height, and platform width. Some scissors give you rubber pads with slotted brackets so you can move them along the frame to fit different vehicles. Others use a fixed runway platform designed for tire-off work only. Total unit weight was around 1,400 pounds crated, which sounds heavy for a portable, but the way he was moving it made it work.
