Most small RV and trailer shops we work with in the Des Moines metro end up on a 4-post rather than a 2-post, and it’s not close. A travel trailer or a dually pickup with a fifth-wheel hitch doesn’t have the clean, consistent lift points a 2-post arm setup wants. Mobility and Layout: Planning for a Shop That Will Grow

Buying the Right Capacity the First Time

We’d rather talk a customer up in capacity than down. If you’re running an RV and trailer shop and there’s any chance a heavier motorhome or a loaded dually ever comes through the door, buy the 9,000 to 10,000 pound lift instead of the 8,000. The cost difference is usually smaller than people expect, and running a lift near its rated max every day shortens its life and adds stress to the cylinder and cables.
