If the wheels are on a runway you cannot do that work. Therefore a storage lift is only useful for parking, not for actual technical service.
Every part of that argument except the first sentence is wrong. Yes, wheels-hanging work needs the wheels off the runways. But a properly specified four-post storage lift with a rolling bridge jack lifts the vehicle by its subframe or lift points once the runways are already at working height, and the wheels drop free exactly the way they would on a two-post. That is what the rolling jack is for. The fix is to spec 220-volt power on the four-post from day one. Cycle time on a 220-volt four-post storage lift is functionally identical to a 220-volt two-post.
