Two-Post Lifts Are the Most Common, But Not the Only Ones
Arm restraint service is most associated with two-post lifts because that’s where the swinging-arm design is standard, but similar restraint concepts show up on other configurations too, including some mobile column setups and certain four-post arrangements with adjustable arms. But arm restraint failures don’t usually announce themselves ahead of time — they show up as a sudden shift when a vehicle is already in the air, and by then there’s no good outcome available.
