Most two-post lifts need a minimum of four inches of properly cured concrete rated at 3,000 PSI or higher, with no expansion joints, cracks, or patched sections anywhere near the anchor pattern. Four-post lifts are more forgiving since the weight rides on runways rather than point-loaded anchors, but the floor still needs to be flat and free of major pitch.

If your shop’s air lines don’t reach the bay where the lift is going, that’s a plumbing job that should happen before we arrive, not during. Garage door height and driveway approach angle matter too, since getting a low sports car or a lifted truck into position under a two-post lift requires more room than most people assume. A little bit of layout planning on paper, before the concrete work or electrical runs even start, prevents a lot of regret later.
