A base gasser or diesel pickup already runs wider than a sedan, but add aftermarket rock sliders, wide fender flares, and a wider stance from a suspension lift, and the overall width of the vehicle can grow by several inches on each side. Overland trucks carry a lot of static and dynamic weight, and that weight transfers into the floor through the lift’s anchor points.
